This stunning luxury country house hotel & spa is widely regarded as the best of all the Yorkshire coast hotels and is perfect for a luxury hotel break in the Malton and Pickering area of North Yorkshire.
Malton and Pickering have a great selection of attractions to visit.
Pickering is a glorious and ancient market town that sits on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Pickering is wonderful small town just to walk around and view, Pickering has a plethora of exciting places to visit in and around it. These include The Beck Isle Museum, Cropton Forest, Cawthorn Roman Camp and Pickering Castle. Pickering Castle was originally constructed by William the Conqueror around 1069 and was built to maintain control of the area after the harrying of the North. It is situated within the Vale of Pickering and holds a great defensive position with its steep cliff to the west side. Pickering castle is remarkably well preserved. This is probably due to it being one of only a few castles to be largely untouched by the 15th century War of the Roses and the 17th century civil war.
Malton has been making a name for itself as a food town built around its famous local produce, award-winning monthly food markets, annual Food Lovers Festival, and some of the best food shops in Yorkshire making it a year round foodie destination. ‘Yorkshire’s Food Capital’ is naturally full of fantastic artisan food producers. The historic market town of Malton is the gateway to Yorkshire’s stunning coastline, the ancient city of York and breath-taking North Yorkshire Moors. The town is also an excellent base from which to visit some of North Yorkshire’s most popular attractions including Castle Howard, Eden Camp, Scampston Walled Garden and Yorkshire Lavender.
